The Three Stages of the Motion Curriculum

Basic Motion

An understanding of how 'Educated Hands' and arms work along with some basic body positions.

The shots we learn here are the putt, chip and a 'chip-pitch' to make the transition into the Acquired Motion.

Acquired Motion

Here we 'acquire' more motion, accumulating more angles to build a highly structured power package. We enter into a deeper understanding of delivery and release, along with clubface and ball control.

The primary shot we learn here is the pitch-shot.

Total Motion

Learning how to move toward an unrestricted motion. At this stage students learn how to execute the requirements prior to full power before unleashing a powerful non-compensating swing.

The shots we learn here are full-swing approach shots, long irons and woods.

It’s very pleasing to take control of your body and make it into something of a masterpiece

- Paul Hart

Three Generation Golf Academy bases its golf swing instruction on the works of Homer Kelley, "The Golfing Machine". It is a scientific understanding of the Geometry of a Circle and the Laws of Force and Motion, which we call mechanics.

The Golfing Machine is the Holy Grail. It takes all the "feels like" things and explains them. That knowledge is the ultimate power.

- Steve Elkington, PGA Tour Professional

By following these principles you will be able to manage your game and your mind. You will build a belief system you never thought possible before.
